Christie Johnson specializes in human efficiency with the Alexander Technique (AT). She has helped thousands of people discover their unique patterns of thinking and moving in relation to all that they do.  She has helped executives and performers mitigate stage fright, seniors and surfers improve balance, gardeners and golfers improve range of motion, pregnant women and their partners expand their comfort, and riders and runners to release muscle tension. Christie certified in 2003, in an extensive three-year, post bachelor, training through Alexander Technique International and has traveled nationally and internationally for additional training and teaching. 

Via multiple marathons, extensive biking, hiking, swimming, canoeing, snowshoeing, skiing, gardening, golfing, dancing and yoga Christie completely enjoys improving Form, Function and Flow in the art of human efficiency with AT.

Christie also completed 700 hours of training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy via Life Shapes and Yoga Teacher Training and continues further work and studies in rehabilitative Occupational Therapy as well.  AT is the underlying base that informs all aspects of her work.  

The Poise Project has been a new focus for Christie which is a non-profit organization committed to maintaining poise throughout all stages and challenges of life through the principles of Alexander Technique (AT).  Christie is working on the Alexander Technique for Parkinson's Initiative helping people to actively choose and use functional patterns that promote optimal postural tone, increasing their ability for self-management of symptoms and enhancing their independence/quality of life.  

Christie works out of a private studio in Temecula and is working on community collaborations to provide further AT resources in Riverside, San Diego and Orange Counties in Southern CA.  Directions to her studio will be provided at the time of making an appointment for a lesson.
